We are seeing many marketing trends happening today that will easily carry into 2022. These trends are here to stay! Read more, as Guru Marketing fills you in.
Influencer Marketing
Influencer marketing is extremely useful to small businesses, big businesses, and even multi-level corporations. It allows for brands to reach a new population of people all over the world. By working with influencers, whether big or small (depending on budget) brands are able to market to people they wouldn’t typically be able to reach. This will be a large part of marketing come 2022. As of right now it is taking over the internet as we know it. Brands like Target, Urban Outfitters, Walmart, and small local boutiques are reaching out to influencers of all ranges to market for them. Plus, companies that cater to our everyday lives like teeth whitening companies, and hair tools.
Short Videos
Short videos are currently trending on almost every platform, they are a great way to capture the consumer’s attention, and keep them wanting more. By posting short video clips you can typically cover a brief topic, show off a product, or introduce something to a group of people. Which can then lead them to look for more on your page, or website, and it gives them a reason to follow along for more. REELS on Instagram, TikTok videos, and a shorter, more curated video or vlog on YouTube are some of the suggested tools to use to segment video streaming.
Right now Instagram is the number one trending app to be posting on – closely followed up by TikTok. Instagram has a mixture of different media for people to take in, including photos, short videos in REEL form, and stories. Plus, IG offers longer videos in the form of IGTV. Instagram has really branded itself as an app for everyone, and it doesn’t matter which type of content is your favorite to consume, this app is for you and it will be trending far into 2022.
Tik Tok
Tiktok started off as a platform for young people but has quickly transformed into a place for small businesses to grow, comedians to post funny content, and artists to show off their work. While TikTok is video-based, much like YouTube it centers around 3 minutes or fewer videos which – yet again ties perfectly into the trending short videos that people are craving.
YouTube
YouTube has been around for quite a long time. It used to be a place to watch music videos, tutorials on everyday things like fixing a car part or sink, or even just to get a good laugh. Youtube is now monetized and a huge part of influencer marketing, influencers often use every social platform to post for their brand, but many lean on YouTube to get paid based on views and subscriptions. All the while also using each video to target a specific audience that works well with the brand they are marketing for.
